Vernon J. Rogers, M.Sc., P.Eng, President
Vernon has over 30 years of experience
in engineering, management and technology development,
obtained in Canada, the USA, the United Kingdom
and West Africa. He has worked with a variety
of organizations, including the Thames Water Authority
in the UK, James F. McLaren in West Africa and
Ontario, the Capital Regional District in Victoria
BC, and the National Research Council. His experience
includes project management, engineering design,
and the operation of complex facilities. He has
been part of organizations responsible for the
planning, design, operation and maintenance of
a range of water and wastewater, municipal, regional
and provincial government facilities. He studied
Civil Engineering in London UK, and holds a postgraduate
degree with a specialization in Water Resources
Engineering from Utah State University, USA.
Jean-Pierre Joly , B.A.Sc., Project Manager
JP Joly, Project Manager, has over 15 years of experience in areas including engineering, project and operations management, high tech market research and analysis, customer relations and product and services delivery, and program development. Recent projects JP Joly has been involved with include: asset management planning; reviewing and setting water rates; holding workshops on principles and policies of rate setting; drought management planning; reviewing SCADA needs for water suppliers; examining the use of affordable networked monitoring in community water supplies. JP has also helped develop programs for community water suppliers including an affordable group liability insurance program, a certified contract operator program, an access to funding program and others currently under development.
Taylor McLeod, Client Services Coordinator
Taylor comes to Aquavic with a diverse background in office administration, publicity, and web design. He has worked with numerous non-profit organizations including Engineers Without Borders, Common Energy, and Circle K. Through his experience he has developed a skill set that includes technical writing, event planning, bookkeeping, and web design. In addition to filling a key role in managing client relations and developing reports, Taylor provides organization and coordination that helps ensure AquaVic services are delivered with quality and on time. He manages all this while pursuing a double major degree in economics and environmental studies at the University of Victoria.

As the Technology Transfer Office for the University
of Victoria, IDC's mission is to facilitate the
transfer of UVic-developed technologies to the
private sector. IDC offers a wide range of business-related
services including protection and management of
intellectual property, assessment of technology,
markets and costs, development of business plans,
procurement of financing, establishing new corporate
structures and managing business administrative
functions. As a partner with an equity stake in
AquaVic Water Solutions Inc., IDC provides these
valuable resources to AquaVic under the direction
of Dr. Doug Tolson, IDC Vice-President.
